What is RSS Feed, and How Does it Save Lotsa Time?
August 7th 2007 by Prof. Emeritus Goreng in Interesting DiscoveriesIf you realize, we have added this small orange logo on top of the right hand bar. What is it for?
.
RSS Feed is one of the best things ever created online. It saves you lots of time. Imagine, not having to visit all your favourite blogs or even CNN to know the latest updates. You basically see a site that you like, subscribe to it for free, and when you open up the reader everyday, you get latest contents in your reader. You don’t even have to visit soo many sites, and remember soo many addresses, only to find some which have no latest post yet. It is really a waste of time.
.
It is just like your very customized newspaper. If you dont like sports, you’ll never subscribe to any sports blog or updates, so, it will never appear. Also, if you like the post, you can also inform your friends by clicking “Email This”…. Try it, and I promise you, you’ll love it!
.
I found a short 3 minutes video which explains this really easily. Sit thru it. You’ll be glad you did.
Oh yes, by the way, subscription to RSS is free. For this site, we also have updates via email, if you are still not comfortable with RSS. This is also free. And the best thing is, with email updates, you’ll be getting 5 uncommon tips to live your life more effectively..If you want to get both the tips and RSS, you should subscribe for both. Email updates will be quite different from RSS, because we can personally email you of additional updates, which are not posted on blog..
.
Anyway, both are free. I hope you liked this information, and again, if you find yourself having some extra time because of these subscriptions, I’ll be glad to join for coffee…on you of course! ![]()
